Rory McIlroy made a hole-in-one in his PGA Tour season debut, but Russell Henley sat atop the leaderboard after a low-scoring first day at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Thursday in Pebble Beach, Calif.

Rory McIlroy hit his second career hole-in-one on the PGA Tour in the opening round of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Starting on the back nine at Spyglass Hill, McIlroy struck his ace on the par-three 15th.

Rory McIlroy scored a hole-in-one in his first start of the PGA Tour season, as the Northern Irishman carded a six-under 66 in the opening round at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

While both golf courses present challenges, Spyglass Hill Golf Course is widely regarded as the more difficult test in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Its demanding layout, tougher greens, and tree-lined fairways typically result in higher scoring averages compared to Pebble Beach.

The Northern Irishman is beginning his week at Spyglass Hill, with his Friday round being played at Pebble Beach. On his sixth hole of the day (the 15th at Spyglass Hill), McIlroy made a slam dunk hole-in-one, which put him at -3 through six holes.
