Tampa Brown Stuart is the first Black woman in Staunton to take this role at one of the oldest churches in the area.

She has also increased the number of parishioners at the church. Being a female pastor has come with challenges, but Rev. Brooks draws strength from her mentors and trailblazers like Rosa Parks.
