Sovereignty has won the 157th Belmont Stakes on Saturday at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York.
The final Triple Crown race has been won by Sovereignty, the Kentucky Derby winner. Sovereignty came out on top in the 157th Belmont Stakes over second-place Journalism after gaining a significant edge in the final stretch. Baeza rounded out the top three.
The 157th Belmont Stakes is set for Saturday, June 7, as the final leg of the Triple Crown unfolds at Saratoga Race Course for the second consecutive year.
