Universal Orlando is unveiling its first major amusement park in over 20 years. Known as Epic Universe, the new theme park opens to the public on May 22 and will allow guests to explore five distinct worlds that are each inspired by renowned franchises.

The eerie remains of two abandoned theme parks still stand in remote regions of Japan. They were discovered and documented by explorer Lukka Bradburn; see the pictures.

The attraction was a popular choice for many families and children and now one person is determined to bring it back to life

Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro told USA TODAY the new theme park will be “like no other park that we've built before.”
