President Vladimir Putin’s investment envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, said the Russian leader’s meeting with US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, was extremely productive. Dmitriev however stated that various countries are trying to disrupt dialogue between Moscow and Washington.

The Kremlin on Thursday said that a meeting between the U.S., Ukraine and European countries in Paris was a chance for U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff to inform them of the current status of talks about the search for a peace settlement in Ukraine.

The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Steve Witkoff is part of negotiations for a Ukraine war ceasefire, the White House said.
