It’s no secret. Ryan Reaves isn’t the player he once was… and he’s not contributing much on the ice. He hasn’t scored in 35 games this season in Toronto (two assists), and at one point, the Leafs even decided to send him to the minors.

The Maple Leafs announced on Thursday evening that they've traded the veteran forward to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for defenseman Henry Thrun. The 24-year-old defenseman played 60 games for the Sharks last season, averaging 17:31 of ice time and scoring two goals and 10 assists.
While Reaves only spent just over a season of his 15-year NHL career with the Rangers, Panarin certainly made a strong impression.
