Rowlett voters will now have two sites to cast ballots early for the Nov. 5 election, but it’s unclear if both locations will be open by the time

After weeks of debate, Dallas County Commissioners approved to have one more additional voting site of the City of Rowlett. In a 4-1 vote, commissioners agreed on Tuesday to approve two total sites for the city: the Rowlett Community Center and the originally approved voting site of Freedom Place Church.

After a judge ruled to add a second voting location in Rowlett, Dallas County Commissioners approved the new location.

The city's mayor was okay with a second voting center, but Dallas County Commissioner Price was not. He warns it could open Pandora's box over the ballot box.

The judge granted a temporary restraining order and ordered the Rowlett Community Centre as an additional early voting polling location.
