Aside from Carter, Anthony and Jordan, NBC has made several other hires with the NBA returning to the network for the first time since 2002. Reggie Miller and Jamal Crawford will be lead game analysts, while Mike Tirico and Noah Eagle will be play-by-play announcers.

There were two Celtics defenders in front of him and it was a running one-hander a few feet from the basket. Miller kept analyzing the play as if Brunson was all alone for a layup. It was far from a gimmie.

Miller, who was paired as usual with the always superb Kevin Harlan for Games 1 and 2 of the Celtics-Knicks series, is perplexing. He’s an A+ talk show guest, especially during his regular appearances on “The Dan Patrick Show,” but as an analyst, he talks incessantly without a whole lot to say.

The NBA on NBC announced that Michael Jordan will join the broadcast team as a special contributor throughout next season.

Basketball Hall of Famer Vince Carter will join NBC Sports as a studio analyst when the NBA debuts on Peacock in October for the 2025-26 season.
