The suspension of Bengaluru's police commissioner B Dayananda and other officers has sparked outrage among the police. Officers feel betrayed by the government. They view the action as unprecedented and demoralizing.

The complaint against Virat Kohli will be reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation into the event and taken into consideration under the current case, according to police, who were quoted by news agency ANI.
