Olympic gymnast Simone Biles is facing a ton of backlash for comments she made about transgender athletes on Friday night. Biles became the most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast in history during the 2024 Summer Games in Paris.

Simone Biles clarified her comments on Tuesday after a heated social media interaction with conservative activist and former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines over the weekend over her views on transgender athletes.

The Olympic gold medalist, who is Catholic, had called Gaines a ‘straight up loser’ for criticizing male participation in women’s sports.
