A police officer was shot in North Philadelphia by a man who fled a traffic stop and then took his own life, officials said. The incident started around 9 p.m. Tuesday when two officers attempted to pull the man over near 22nd Street and Lehigh Avenue in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion neighborhood.

We're learning more about a Philadelphia police officer shot Tuesday night during an attempted traffic stop and the suspect was later found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. Police say they tried to pull over 29-year-old Brandon Williams at 22nd and Lehigh in Strawberry Mansion.
