Both LeBron James and Austin Reaves were injured during the Los Angeles Lakers first round exit from the NBA Playoffs as they were defeated by Minnesota Timberwolves.

GM Rob Pelinka cites the trio of James, Doncic and Reaves as ‘a great starting point,’ even though trade rumors arose after Reaves struggled in the postseason.

The Los Angeles Lakers were projected to compete for the championship this year after acquiring Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks in February. Pundits thought Doncic, LeBron James and Austin Reaves would lead the Lakers to at least the Western Conference Finals.

If they want to win another NBA championship, the Lakers may need to do something with Austin Reaves they haven't been willing to even consider.

Some have suggested that the team could move on from youngster Austin Reaves, a move that many might not want to make. While Reaves didn't play well during his first-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves,
