CHICAGO (WLS) -- An icy winter tradition will not return to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin this year. What used to be known as the "Ice Castles" is now called "Winter Realms." The creators said they have to take a hiatus this winter due to the "record-breaking warm weather" in recent years.

The Lake Geneva Ice Castles will not return this winter. Ice Castles, the company behind the "Winter Realms" attraction, told WISN 12 News that its absence is because of warmer temperatures in Wisconsin over the past few winters. Last cold season, it was only able to stay open for two weeks.
