Google just wrapped up its big keynote at I/O 2025. As expected, it was full of AI-related announcements, ranging from updates across Google’s image and video generation models to new features in Search and Gmail.
Unsurprisingly, the bulk of Google's announcements at I/O this week focused on AI. Although past Google I/O events also heavily leaned on AI, what made this year's announcements different is that the features were spread across nearly every Google offering and touched nearly every task people partake in every day.
Google used news from its I/O developer conference this year to show what NotebookLM can do. The AI-powered research and note-taking tool has been around for years, but the company has infused it with more and more features as its AI tech improved.
