Target’s troubles are mounting. The retail giant said a laundry list of problems dragged down its quarterly sales, including a boycott by shoppers who disagreed with its decision this year to end some diversity programs.

Target slashed its financial outlook for the year Wednesday as it reported weaker than expected earnings amid tariff uncertainty and customer pullbacks — tied not only to a challenging economic environment but also its changes to diversity,

Target says that it saw softer-than-expected sales and profit pressures in the first quarter as the retail environment remained “highly challenging.”
