The Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) on Saturday hit back at the Congress party after Mallikarjun Kharge's ‘terrorist party’   remark saying they (the Grand Old Party) have been supporting terrorists all their lives.

The Congress chief accused the Hindutva party of backing those who commit violence against marginalised communities.

Union minister Pralhad Joshi countered Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's remarks about BJP, highlighting past terror incidents under UPA rule and accusing Congress of being lenient on terror convicts.

BJP leaders, including Joshi and Trivedi, counter Congress President Kharge's claims of BJP being a 'party of terrorists,' citing historical instances of Congress's association with terrorism and criticizing its stance on Islamic practices.

Tearing into the Congress after its president Mallikarjun Kharge dubbed the BJP a "party of terrorists", leaders from the ruling party at the Centre accused it of making insulting the people a habit and said its true character had been revealed.

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge was pushing back against PM Modi's allegation that the opposition party is completely under the control of "urban naxals".

BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari suggesting that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's outburst stemmed from anxiety over the Congress party's standing, particularly among Dalits and stated that Kharge's "position as Congress President is at risk".

While addressing a rally in near Washim in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region on October 5, PM Modi had described Congress being controlled by a group of urban Naxals and urged people to come together to defeat the its “dangerous agenda”.
