What we do know is that the movie—directed by Lauren Montgomery, co-directed by William Mata, and based on the series Avatar: The Last Airbender, which was created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko—will focus on the character of Aang, which presumably means it’ll take place between The Last Airbender and Korra.

No word yet on who Yeun will play in the film—which is to say, the Avatar film, which is to say the Aang movie, do not get this twisted; he last worked in animation with the most recent season of Prime Video’s Invincible.
