The Wisconsin DNR announced Monday that it has concluded its efforts to trap a black bear that was involved in an attack in Barron County on July 12. Authorities say neither the bear involved, nor her cub, have been seen since the attack.

COMSTOCK, Wis. (WSAW) - The Wisconsin DNR has concluded its efforts to trap a black bear that attacked a woman in Barron County earlier this month. The sow and the cub involved have not been seen since the attack on July 12.

The woman was severely injured but able to call 911 and was taken to a hospital. No black bear attack fatalities have been recorded in state history.
