A developer wants to dump a plan for three smaller retail buildings on Route 33 in Manalapan in favor of one larger ShopRite.

The new store will also be attached to a new ShopRite Liquor Warehouse. An earlier plan called for the construction of a new store from the ground up. The project has been in the works for years.
