In times of doubt, join our club, could well be the message from Walmart as it plans expansion of its Sam’s Club stores amid increasing competition with Costco and BJ's.

Sam's Club is planning its biggest expansion in decades – and shoppers across the country will see the difference. The wholesale retailer said it plans to double its membership and more than double its sales and profits over the next eight to 10 years.

New locations of the Walmart-owned club retailer are already planned for two cities that do not have any Sam's Club stores right now.
