Epic Games said 'Fortnite' will be offline on Apple devices because the iPhone maker blocked its app update. The move comes just weeks after Epic Games cheered a judge's ruling that limited the commissions that Apple makes through apps.

Fortnite was banned from the Apple App Store in 2020, but was allowed back last year, according to Reuters, following pressure from European Union authorities to be sure it aligned with the Digital Markets Act, an EU regulation aimed at making the digital economy fair.

The popular video game “Fortnite” is now unavailable on several Apple devices across the globe, according to Cary-based Epic Games.
