The same is true of the original Switch, which now has an absolutely enormous library of fantastic games. If you’ve not picked up the console yet, you’ve got the opportunity to play games that have shaped the last few years of the medium, like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Pokémon, and much more.

Tonight is the official launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, a console people have been waiting for years to arrive. Some publications and influencers received theirs one day early, but for the rest of the world, tonight is the first opportunity to play it. And for a lot of the people in this line, that means they’re willing to wait a little longer.

The Nintendo Switch 2 launched worldwide today with thousands of gamers either collecting their pre-orders or trying their luck at securing a model for themselves today. I'll admit, picking up the latest red team console wasn't on my cards, but after seeing how readily available stock was at 6am on launch morning, I thought I'd take the plunge.
