President Donald Trump's administration on Tuesday said it's appealing a Maryland federal judge's ruling blocking the president's executive order seeking to end birthright citizenship for people whose parents are not legally in the country.

U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman said Trump’s executive order 'contradicts 125-year old binding Supreme Court precedent and runs counter to our nation’s 250-year history of citizenship by birth.'

A judge in Seattle previously blocked Trump’s attempt to limit the long-standing constitutional protection. This latest order came from Maryland.
