National Weather Services (NWS) offices across the country are managing a series of required updates for their radio stations.

The National Weather Service in Alabama warned Monday that weather radio broadcasts are offline for routine maintenance as severe storms are forecast to hit the state Tuesday.

Severe storms are expected to sweep across Alabama this week, as the National Weather Service undergoes an outage of the radio service that broadcasts key weather information for the region.
