The trailer kicks off with Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) being tasked with using her genius to escape from a classic death trap in an elevator. The death trap's creator is Parker Robbins, aka The Hood (Anthony Ramos), who is looking to recruit Williams and wants to test her.

After years of waiting, Ironheart is finally flying onto Disney+ later this summer. Ironheart is a super interesting character — and a relatively recent addition to both the Marvel Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

First debuting in Marvel's comics in 2016's Invincible Iron Man, Riri was mentored by Tony Stark and even created new armor and, with it, a new title: Ironheart. The live-action adaptation of the character in Wakanda Forever kept her MIT origins and saw Riri create a vibranium detector and, later, join forces with Shuri.
