As Pete Alonso considered this year’s Subway Series, which started Friday night at Yankee Stadium, he was thankful for two imports from The Bronx.

The New York Mets got their payback after losing 6-2 to the New York Yankees on Friday, defeating them 3-2 on Saturday thanks to RBI by Pete Alonso, Mark Vientos, and Francisco Lindor. Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu opened the scoring with a solo homer to right in the bottom of the third inning before Alonso hit an RBI single to left in the top of the fourth.
