No tropical cyclone activity is expected over the next seven days as we approach the official start of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season on June 1.

The Atlantic hurricane season is still over a week away, however, forecasters are tracking the season’s first tropical wave in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean.

The first tropical wave has emerged off the coast of Africa ahead of the 2025 hurricane season. It is not expected to develop or threaten Florida, but it’s another sign that hurricane season is right around the corner.
