With Macy’s Center City store set to close its doors on Sunday, March 23, music lovers have one final opportunity to experience the majestic sound of the Wanamaker Organ — America’s premier pipe organ — in the Grand Court of the historic Wanamaker Building.

Built in 1904 for the St. Louis World Fair, The Wanamaker Organ is a National Historic Landmark. Considered the largest fully-functioning organ in the world, it’s composed of more than 28,000 pipes, which are stored in various parts of the building.
