Ferrari SP51 based on the 812GTS Ferrari says it spends an average of two years on its one-off Special Project cars such as the SP48 Unica from earlier this year, which was based on the F8 Tributo.

Ferrari has just unveiled its latest one-off, the SP51. It is a roadster that is based on the 812 GTS, but comes with several distinctive features, as it was designed around its owner's requirements.

That means the SP51 is likely running the 812 Superfast/GTS ’s stock 6.5-liter V12 that makes 789 hp (800 PS) at 8,500 rpm and generates 530 lb-ft (718 Nm) at a sky-high 7,000 rpm.

As is common with Ferrari's one-off cars, the mechanicals are left untouched. It means you'll find a 6.5-liter V-12 under the hood of the SP51, rated at a peak 789 hp.
