Slezak graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, where she was accepted at the age of 17, making her one of the youngest students ever admitted.

In June 2025, it was announced that Slezak would be appearing on General Hospital. Slezak and her husband, Brian Davies, have a son, Michael, and their daughter, Amanda, passed away in 2024.
