The post in question referred to 'The Mars Project', a book written by renowned German rocket scientist Wernher von Braun. The text claims the book predicted that Mars’ leader would be called 'Elon.' An image shared alongside the post included an excerpt purportedly from the book’s original German manuscript.

Reacting to the alleged manuscript excerpt, Elon Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, took to X/Twitter and claimed that her billionaire son was named after his grandfather, John Elon Haldeman. She stated that finding an appropriate name for her son by browsing through the genealogy was not an easy task.
