Before we get into the sauce, it’s worth noting that there’s no such thing as real Chinese curry. When it comes to traditional, regional Chinese cuisine, curry simply isn’t part of the equation.

We love a Chinese takeaway but ... bigger than the one from Tesco. The battered chicken pieces were tender but bland although the sweet chilli sauce helped improve this a bit.

But you can still get an easy Chinese fix ... prawn crackers TESCO was definitely my overall winner – and I still can’t get over the price. The sweet and sour sauce was the perfect balance ...
