CarMax Park is on schedule to open in time for the Richmond Flying Squirrels to open the 2026 season.

Gilbane Building Co.’s senior project manager for CarMax Park, Patrick Albrecht, said in a December interview with The Times-Dispatch that the project remains on track for a 2026 opening.

When it opens near the Diamond site in 2026, CarMax Park will be home to the Richmond Flying Squirrels and an array of community events throughout the year.
