Fortnite players can channel their inner dark side as James Earl Jones ‘ Darth Vader returns to the game. Players will be able to recruit the Sith Lord and be able to talk to him, he will respond with the help of AI. Epic Games and Disney have brought Jones back with the permission of his family.

When Fortnite players meet Darth Vader in the game’s ongoing Star Wars event, they will be able to speak with the Sith Lord directly, and he’s going to respond with a voice that sounds exactly like James Earl Jones.

Beloved actor James Earl Jones died less than a year ago, but in a world with access to (or a flood of) AI generation, his characters don’t have to stay dead. Fortnite announced on its news site this morning that players will now be able to have conversations with Darth Vader “[w]ith your voice.
