There's no sign of "Bloody Mary" here ... I'm interested in what this painting reveals about Mary's status. The gallery's state of the art microscope might give me an even closer look.

The art form's intended to give a sense of intimacy ... of a source that should offer a much less familiar take on Bloody Mary-- a Spanish one. Mary was half Spanish on her mother's side.
