Bangladesh is celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.  Millions of Muslims across the country are participating in special prayers, exchanging greetings, and enjoying festive meals with family and friends.

Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the largest religious festivals of Muslims, will be celebrated in the country on Monday as the moon of Shawwal month of 1446 Hijri was sighted in the sky of Bangladesh Sunday

Taking to their official social media account on X this Saturday, the International Astronomy Center tweeted, “Bangladesh: Monday, March 31st is Eid al-Fitr. The sun has set in Bangladesh and Eid al-Fitr will be on Monday as today is the 28th day of Ramadan. The crescent moon will be visible to the naked eye tomorrow, Sunday (sic).”
