A storm is brewing at the breakfast table. The price of coffee is going up. The world benchmark for the global price of Arabica coffee has more than doubled what it was a year ago, as of Friday.

Arabica futures hit a record of $3.56 in the Intercontinental Exchange on Monday, Jan. 27, a day after the back-and-forth dustup a day earlier, according to The Wall Street Journal.
