BAR HARBOR, Maine (WABI) - Eight probationary Acadia National Park workers will be reinstated after being let go in February.

The closure is intended to protect the 45-mile network gravel roads as warmer weather arrives and with it wet conditions.

The closures are to preserve the roads from damage. The park will reopen them when surfaces dry out and become firm again.

Maine's Acadia National Park is stunning year-round. Animals are bound to appear during your adventures, although some should be avoided.
