The college basketball offseason is now in full swing, and with it, USC men’s basketball has seen significant roster turnover. On Tuesday, the Trojans picked up perhaps their biggest addition of the offseason to date in Maryland transfer Rodney Rice. This offsets the blow created by the departure of Desmond Claude in the portal.

The USC Trojans men's basketball program, led by coach Eric Musselman, has been active in the NCAA Transfer Portal. The Trojans received a commitment from Maryland Terrapins transfer Rodney Rice, the seventh player to transfer to USC this cycle.

Rice was ranked as the 18th-best player to enter the transfer portal by ESPN's Jeff Borzello and, at the time of his commitment to the Trojans, was the fifth-best uncommitted player in the portal.
