In a stunning blow to international scholars who had hopes of studying in the United States, the Trump administration has revoked hundreds of student visas in nearly every corner of the country as part of a vast immigration crackdown.

At least 70 students attending New York universities and colleges have had their student visas revoked by the Trump administration, according to several school officials.

Around 1,000 international students in the U.S. have had visas revoked or their legal status terminated since late March, according to an AP review.
