Nebraska volleyball overcomes a rough second set and a meltdown in the third to escape with the win over the Boilermakers.

Nebraska's home win streak stays intact, extending to 35 games — the longest in the nation. Purdue falls to 0-7 in its past seven matches in Lincoln, with the Boilermaker's last road win against the Cornhuskers coming in 2013.

The No. 2 Huskers defeated the No. 10 Purdue 25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 25-22, 17-15 at the Bob Devaney Center. The match was close from start to finish, with several lead changes. The Boilermakers outhit the Huskers .311% to .242%, but their 19 services errors cost them.

In a slugfest between two Top 10 teams that lasted three hours, Merritt Beason and Nebraska landed the last blow, improving to 15-1.

No. 10 Purdue took the match down to the wire, but No. 2 Nebraska volleyball held off the upset-minded Boilermakers, winning the final three points and the match. The Boilers were more productive in nearly every statistical measure, outside of serving, yet Nebraska won. Here's more from Amie Just.

• Nebraska is 24-8 all-time against Purdue and has won five in a row in the series. The teams went five sets in the only meeting last season on Sept. 29 in West Lafayette, with Nebraska squeaking out a 15-12 victory in the fifth set.
