The newest season of "Peacemaker" and films like "The Legend of Ochi" and "Freaky Tales" lead the pack in August's additions to HBO Max.

A new A24 title, The Legend of Ochi, is alsoset to land on the platform. That will be available from August 15. It follows a shy girl who is raised to fear the ochi species, meeting a young ochi that was left behind, and forming an unlikely bond with them.

HBO Max is the home to such critically acclaimed shows as The Pitt and The White Lotus, but it's also a haven for excellent movies. This August, the streamer is set to add tons of new content that will lure you away from Netflix and the rest of its competitors.
