It’s not how it was supposed to play out. Ohio State fans thought the Buckeyes would travel to Eugene and take care of business against the Oregon Ducks, but it wasn’t meant to be. The Buckeyes made too many mistakes and Oregon executed at a higher level, especially in crunch time and pulled it out 32-31, on Saturday night.

Ohio State fans spent all offseason pushing back on the very true narrative that they’re soft and make excuses when their team loses. All the while constantly repeating ‘the hammer is coming down’ on Michigan as a mantra,

Oregon was able to capitalize when Derrick Harmon forced Quinshon Judkins' fumble and recovered the ball on the Ohio State 28. Jordan James rushed 25 yards on the first play from scrimmage, then ran the ball the final 3 yards into the end zone — but the Ducks flubbed the snap on the extra point attempt.
