RINCON, Ga. (WTOC) - As crews continue work on several projects across the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, their work is being recognized for this week’s National Work Zone Awareness Week. Federal OSHA statistics show 826 people were killed while working in construction sites last year, a decrease from nearly 930 in 2023.

New York State officials are asking motorists to be more careful on the road as the state celebrates National Work Zone Awareness Week.

In the midst of National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week, police and workers said it’s important drivers pay particular attention in work zones to keep workers and other drivers safe.
