Lansing — Michigan Rep. Laurie Pohutsky, a Democrat who revealed she underwent voluntary sterilization because of concerns over access to contraception under Republican President Donald Trump, said she's been receiving threats after her comments spread across the internet this week.

LANSING, MI -- Standing in front of hundreds of protestors at the Michigan Capitol on Wednesday, Feb. 5, Rep. Laurie Pohutsky, D-Livonia, said she had surgery to become voluntarily sterile out of fear for how President Donald Trump’s administration could limit future reproductive health care access.
