The Los Angeles Chargers watched rookie wideout Ladd McConkey go down with a first-quarter injury in Week 6. Fortunately, McConkey doesn’t appear to be severely injured. Here’s the latest as the Chargers face the Denver Broncos.

The Los Angeles Chargers didn’t just lose head coach Jim Harbaugh on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. Not long after Harbaugh left the field and was declared questionable to return, wideouts Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston went down with injuries.

Ladd McConkey picked up 12.7 fantasy points -- five catches, 67 yards and one touchdown -- in Week 4 versus the Kansas City Chiefs, his best game of the season. In his worst game of the season, McConkey finished with 2.6 fantasy points -- two receptions, 26 yards, on four targets. That was in Week 2 versus the Carolina Panthers.

With a bye week incoming the Los Angeles Chargers will get a chance to rest and return their injured players, and with the recent breakout of McConkey they should be in a good position to show off quite the potent offense come week 6 of the regular season.

The Chargers remade their wide receivers group this offseason, and the rookie McConkey is emerging as Justin Herbert's trusted target.

Justin Herbert faked a handoff and dropped back, delivering a throw as he was hit by Chiefs defender Malik Herring. At first, it looked like he was simply throwing the ball away in the direction of McConkey, but the rookie worked back to the ball in tight coverage and made a fantastic catch.
