Kirk Herbstreit did "College GameDay" from Oregon, left early, then flew to Dallas to call the Red River Rivalry nearly 2,000 miles away.

As College GameDay made its return to Eugene for No. 3 Oregon vs. No. 2 Ohio State, Herbstreit left the set mid-show to board his flight to Dallas to call the Red River Rivalry game between No. 1 Texas and No. 18 Oklahoma this afternoon. But he didn’t stop broadcasting.

Herbstreit and the rest of College GameDay have logged a ton of flight miles this year, heating from Ireland to Texas to Michigan and eventually to Oregon. They’ll more than likely be heading down south again in Week 8, to either attend the Georgia-Texas matchup or the Alabama-Tennessee matchup.

Shortly after the "College GameDay" broadcast ended, Herbstreit shared a reaction to his ride in the convertible car. While updating fans, he was flying over Salt Lake City, Utah, the famed sports analyst questioned whose decision it was to make him ride in a convertible to begin with.

Less than a day before ESPN College GameDay kicks off the weekend from Eugene, Kirk Herbstreit entirely messes up the name of the Oregon Ducks' beloved mascot.
