Marcelo Gomes da Silva, the 18-year-old Massachusetts high school student who was arrested on his way to volleyball practice last week, was granted bond on Thursday.

Authorities have said the agents were looking for the Milford High School teen's father, who owns the car Gomes da Silva was driving at the time and had parked in a friend’s driveway.

The 18-year-old was detained while on his way to volleyball practice. His Massachusetts community is demanding his release.
