Much of Oklahoma is at high risk for tornadoes on Monday, but forecasters warned the region could see additional hazards including very large hail, severe winds and flash flooding.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said 19 people in the state had died from the storms, many in Laurel County in the southern part of the state. The storm system also killed seven people in Missouri and two in Virginia when it rolled through the region, authorities said.
Storms are expected in the Ohio, Tennessee and Mid-Mississippi valleys, where there are threats of tornadoes, damaging winds and hail. Some flooding is possible.
