An arctic front will arrive in North Texas on Tuesday, bringing freezing rain, frigid temperatures and possibly sub-zero wind chills to the region. A winter weather advisory for parts of the Metroplex, including Tarrant and Dallas counties, will go into effect at 5 p.m. and last until midnight, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.

North Texas was experiencing the “coldest wind chills” of the season Wednesday morning as snow flurries fell over the region. Dallas-Fort Worth had air temperatures drop into the teens with wind chills in the negatives,
